We’ve seen plenty of care packages tailored to help you when you first get a dog, but what about those old pups with aching joints and dry skin? Wouldn’t it be so much easier caring for your senior dog if you received a monthly box with everything your dog needs to live their best life? Don’t worry; we’ve got you covered.

The name references the iconic TV show "The Golden Girls," which shows us the daily lives of four quirky older ladies as roommates. A connection was made between the name and the mascot with the word "golden." The mascot logo references the Chinese Lucky Cat statue.

  • The box has a lucky-cat-inspired dog logo, alongside soft colors and playful typography for a welcoming feel. This thoughtful approach enhances the unboxing experience.

  • Inside the box is a thank you card and a prompting message featuring a dog with a chat bubble to create a playful personification. The yellow shredded packaging was chosen to reflect the gold in our logo, enhancing brand cohesion while adding a pop of color that complements the overall design.

  • The website features a clean layout that balances a fun, dog-friendly aesthetic with a sophisticated design. Thoughtful imagery, elegant typography, and palette create an inviting yet ensure that visitors feel a cohesive, refined experience.

  • The site pops up a spinner wheel that offers customers rewards, encouraging repeat visits. Subtle motion design with select icons and callouts adds an interactive layer to the experience, making navigation enjoyable and appealing.

Product Close-Up

  • The product selections are thoughtfully curated to address the needs of senior dogs. From nourishing treats to soothing balms, each item is designed to support their health and comfort during their golden years.

  • The labels and packaging were designed cohesively, activating the logo in various contexts. By using product titles alongside vibrant graphics, the aim was to create a language that reflects the playful essence of the brand while ensuring a sophisticated appearance.

Packaging Choices

  • The colors were matched to the Twin Dragons almond cookie packaging to evoke nostalgia and connect back to the Lucky Cat Inspiration for the brand.

  • The packaging is activated by incorporating the lucky symbol in various forms, ensuring it appears consistently. This approach ties the brand together while maintaining visual interest.

Label Experimentation

  • I placed the top half of the label on the back of the spray bottle so the liquid would distort the logo, creating a unique visual effect. This design choice draws attention and adds an unexpected element to the packaging.

  • Playful taglines on select labels add personality and charm to the packaging. They enhance engagement, making the design more relatable and memorable for the viewer.

Box Composition

  • The yellow shredded paper used as box filler ties perfectly with the yellow in the dog logo and the "golden" in Stay Golden. This choice creates a unified unboxing experience.

  • The products are carefully arranged in the box to ensure everything is immediately visible upon opening. This enhances the unboxing experience, making it inviting, and easy for customers to explore.
