Color Outside the Line
Outline at NoHo is a collection of 27 homes built thoughtfully by Verono Homes with multi-purpose in mind. Home buyers will find community, quality, versatility, and customization rare in new construction.
Outline: the beginning of any project or art piece. An outline is an initial sketch at the start of a painting or the table of contents at the beginning of a book. An outline creates the framework for a work of art.
We’re creating that outline using the frame and walls of our homes, then welcoming someone to come in and color within (or outside) the lines with their story. We want these homes to be at the beginning of their masterpiece, the family.

Breaking Down the Design
Concept

I’ve gotten inspiration by flipping through architectural catalogs. The typography, layout, and grid structure establish a cohesive design that supports the main star: the photos.

I took a literal approach to the project’s motto. Outlining the text in certain parts, it took on a more elevated approach.
Photos

I utilized an asset from Adobe Stock to create the grainy screenprint effect for the photos. The idea was that it took on a vintage catalog look.

I gathered some photos outside the ones that were provided to get interesting shots of NOHO that complimented the effect and the layout.
A4 Grid Structure

The typography scaling throughout the piece is consistent to make sure the hierarchy is legible and compliments each other.

The different spreads showcase layouts that exist in the system but allow room for new components to generate originality.
